This webinar will discuss the identity threats and related issues in the banking industry. The presentation will review what is going on with regard to customer ID and the data breach. Banks have been increasingly depending on Credit Agencies’ data to support their customer identity needs.
After the data breach at Experian, fraudsters buying data on the Dark Web have access to the same credit report data the bank does. Banks need to do some basic rethinking about customer and potential customer identity issues. And they need to do that quickly. Jim George is an independent consultant working with major banks and other financial institutions in areas of mortgage, compliance management, and risk management. He was formerly an Associate Partner in the Bank Risk and Compliance unit of IBM Consulting and with PriceWaterhouse-Coopers consulting before that. Jim worked for the Director of Operations in HUD’s Office of Fair Housing around the time HDMA reporting regulations were first implemented. He was Senior Vice President of Operations and Compliance for a mortgage servicing company.
